What should I give up for lent?

So one of my rules for lent is:

Give up eating at a table and using your hands*. Must eat from floor using only your mouth.

*Exceptions may be made for certain social/public situations and if guests are visiting. Since your husband is making all your decisions these exceptions are at his discretion.

Well I had a friend come over for lunch today, it wasn't planned, she phoned a little while before asking if I was in. So I sat at the table and ate lunch (with my hands)... This was done without my husbands permission

Yes, at the very least you could have tried to ring/text him and ask for permission. Not even attempting to get it looks like you don't care.

Way I see it you did two things wrong:-
You ate at a table without permision - For this I would make you miss supper and in the morning you can only eat once you have done any chores you have. If it is pratical I would make you be his table for his supper.

By not asking him you showed you didn't care about his control - Either for not using your phone to ask him you should lose all use of your phone say for 3 days or for not letting him control you, you loose all control for 24 hour - you are not aloud to even move rooms without his permission.


Should have some ideas in there he can use.

He could take away your books while he watches tv, or pick special things for you to read. Or he could make you listen to an audio track of some sort while blindfolded when he watches tv where you can't hear anything but the audio and make it where you have no idea how much time passes.

Maybe make you write X number of lines something like you will not do this again or something without using your hands to write said lines.

Though I'm sure others could come up with more evil/cruel punishments.

So my punishment will be:
For eating at the table
I don't get dinner tonight and will be my husbands table while he eats dinner. I will get breakfast tomorrow morning before going to work.

For using my hands
My hands will be cuffed behind my back whenever I eat at home for the next week

For not asking permission to use the table
Instead of him having full control over me for 24hrs... Get Dare will get full control over me for 24hrs next weekend!! My limits still stand and he can step in and say no to anything that is suggested, but I get absolutely no say whatsoever. What I get to wear, eat, drink, do, places to go etc are all up to get dare

So I'd asked my husband if I could book myself in for a hair cut (as he has full control of any decisions for lent)

He said yes but as I keep falling to follow simple instructions/rules and getting myself punishments, he will decide what I'm to ask for.

So I've been told to ask you lot to suggest hair cuts (ideally with a link to a photo which I will then have to take with me). We have agreed that a full Headshave is taking it a bit far, but my husband has refused to completely rule it out 😮
