abandoned story section?

I have been reading a lot of good stories on getdare but i have noticed that there are a lot of stories that have one or two chapters and for some reason have been abandoned ever the author has stopped using the site for a long time or for some other reason.

I was thinking maybe there can be a new section where with the owners consent the abandoned stories can be put into a new section for someone to pick up the story and take over the writing of it.

abandon stories can be put into the section by mods after the author hasn't been online for a long period of time say 2 years or something like that or a author can voluntary put their story up for others to write.

Being an author who has left them for that kind of period. I would not want anyone touching them.

I agree that I would not want anybody touching my stories either. They are mine and regardless if I have left or not, they should remain mine. If somebody would like to write their own similar story, then by all means.

I agree with Andrew and butterfly, if I were the author, I would rather have them always remain unfinished and reflective of my work alone than someone else complete them

I also wouldn't want anyone else touching my stories. Some I have left unfinished and untouched for years. I might go back to them one day, I might not...but they are still mine.

It shouldn't be a problem to ask the author for a continuation of the story or if you can take over the story. If the author hasn't been online for a while (and is unlikely to respond) then you can write a story similar to the abandoned one, as Butterfly wrote.
