how hard is it for people to grasp the consept that taking the time to fill out these few lines can cause you to generaly be accepted in the community, it annoys me to no end that there is no identifing marks on a profile i brouse, other than "female" or better yet "unknown".

online your avatar is your face, your signature is your handshake and your profile is the rest of the first impression.

I agree personally I find avatarless, postless, sigless and profileless people unnerving. It doesn't take much time to do and its really easy. It helps people find you later on once you get friends too... eg... i know if i want to find leopard I know to look for posts with a leopard avatar ... or a fairy on a branch thing if I am looking for nixie [sorry to example you guys.] It just makes things easier down the line. So stop being creepers and get an avatar at least

This is ONE of my biggest pet peeves. Why?

No avatar?
No Sig?
No profile Info?
No posts?

ALL leads me to believe that you are a total creeper looking for quick masturbatory help. And definitely NOT to be trusted. All who have contacted me with these specifications and fell into "creeper" category. Sorry if you are one of these and don't feel this way. It is just easier for those of us who ARE active on the site to filter out those who are of said status. Upload an avatar it takes 5 minutes to figure out and search less if you know what you want. Same for profile info. I know there are those who DO have all this filled out and still fall into creeper category BUT hey you can't win em all. Just saying if you wanna be taken seriously in ads and stuff do the little things. AND Get involved.

I don't know. I've met a few people that have all of the above but are extremely fucking creepy. -coughs-Leopard-coughs- But, at the same time, I've met some people who lack all of that but are rather intelligent but shy. I don't think -standing out- should be a factoring decision in whether or not a person is 'creepy'. Actions speak louder than pretty pixels, imo.

Maybe I'm in a minority.

Some people like to remain completely anonymous. And that's fine. Why should they be labelled as creepy or weird? True, it probably distances them from the rest of the community but it doesn't mean they're freaky 60 year old perverts.

That said, I do like those who make the effort.

When I joined it was one of the first things I did. I think It shows that you are trying to make an effort to be INVOLVED in the community you signed up to. I prefer avatared people. I had a few toutchy runins with no-avatars.
