Okay, I'm piggybacking on someone else's question again, but this just piqued my interest

I would have liked to have been a train driver from the mid 1960's to late 1990's/early 2000'

Which aspect of the job is so appealing to you? Do you have a thing for trains? Or perhaps it's the constant movement, the lone tranquility? Why those specific years? I think a modern option would be a long haul truck driver - ever thought about that?

Yes, I do have a thing for trains. I enjoy heavy machinery and driving, so that is a big part of it. I also enjoy the intricacy of the engineering and using that to complete a job. Getting around the country is part of it too, and the peace and quiet you get in the cab. Those specific years as they were the heyday of the diesel and electric locomotives that I like.

I have thought about being a truck driver, yes. I am considering doing my licence
