Hello, thank you I am well, I trust you are too. Interesting question..... Are the 2 ideas not co-dependent to some degree? I mean physical play can also be very psychologically based, especially if it includes sensory deprivation and you know the other player well enough to know their "weaknesses"/ what makes them tick.... Likewise, there is pleasure to be derived from a pre-planned scenario which is role play led purely for the purpose of impact play. I kind of enjoy both to be honest.

Favourite - probably where the other person is restrained somehow (a whipping stool for instance) purely because it adds to the tension....

That said, I can do a pretty mean over the knee hand spanking where there is no restraint whatsoever.

Depends on what the other player has around really or what I can improvise with - ties, belts (especially dressing gown belts) can all be used as restraints....

Sometimes I test them or I get someone I know very well to try something out for Me....

How do I judge... I use visual clues and body language and listen to the replies I get to any questions ..this can be done is such way that it fits into a scene..... eg, have you learnt a lesson ----- I think so ----- to say I think so pretty much means go on more. If I'm not sure I ask for something to be graded number/colour (traffic lights), safeword use as well.

Yes, it’s much better if you can make it sound like a natural response rather than an incongruous safe word.

A favourite response of mine when faced with a question is ‘if you’d like me to’ rather than agreeing without resistance.
