Time to bump this, with something good for me today.

I got good news from my doctors appointment today

I saved a toad today! For a horrible moment I thought I'd injured it, but it was just stupidly playing dead. I tried to nudge it to safety, but it curled in on itself, so I had to dig around it and scoop it up (In gloves, as human skin contact can hurt them).

Checking the little beauty over, I could feel it's heart beating and it breathing in my hands, a well as the ill advised escape attempts as I carried it to safety. Felt strange and kind of wonderful, but was worried about holding it too tightly, or it falling out of my unsteady hands.

It only had one back leg! The little stub of its other leg was clearly long healed, and we have a lot of wildlife, pets, and wire fences in the area, so any one one of those could have caused the injury.

I set it down gently away from the work area, and talked to it for a while as I watched it move to see how it was doing. It was walking very slowly, so after leaving it alone for about a minute, decided to take some cover over to allow hiding; little blighter had disappeared, no idea where. Taking that as a good sign that it will be okay.

I have been glad over the rain for some time now: it has helped melt the snow away, and it has started to wash away the winter dirt. Today I take pleasure in a spotless blue sky - and the Met Inst says the temp may rise to 6°C in the afternoon!

We finally got the shipment we've been waiting for for more than two months.
So i got to make some fun calls to super happy customers

All trainees that had to take their final exams this year got good grades

And my favorite ice cream shop in town reopened

I will today have the best lunch: pizza, Coke, and Star Trek Voyager on Netflix! And afterwards I may even have a lie-down!

We recently got a lemon tree for indoors. Very much looking forward to growing from seed, as I've always wanted to try, but also just like seeing it ripen.

When it gets cold, the lemons stop smelling as strongly as they do when the plant warms up. I spend quite a bit of time just sniffing them, trying not to poke myself in the face with their thorns.

Also, planted Jerusalem artichokes.
