Chapter 13

Kate's eyes opened as the sound of the alarm filled her head, for a few blissful seconds she lay there, oblivious, then the memories of the day before came crashing in, she buried her face in the pillow and groaned.

Kate realised the purpose of the padlock now, it had confused her a bit at the time but now it was obvious. Kate drank the water, struggling to finish the bottle but not daring to stop under Jades menacing gaze.
When it was gone she noticed a couple of drips had fallen on her pants, she'd noticed them because they were so obvious, the material had turned almost black.
