There are a not many rules, but I was looking at it that your posts (and by extension any that have to do with management of the thread?) would not count. That may be wrong. Fine. I don't really care what it is as long as everyone is understanding it the same way.

BTW: Cutting off the thread (how many?) days early will amputate any chance of getting the CORSET that a few of us have been posting for - LOL. 500 was a big total at the best of times. If you adjusted a few of the others, what about cutting that from 500 down to 300 - it is at least possible with a stretch and a miracle, rather than dust-binning the whole idea and effort. Eh?

I think if it's a report from knorke it doesn't count, but otherwise it does, and most of the ones that are now totals weren't when I posted. Buuuut technically the rules only apply to adding key words

If I post a report on a task (which I'm not sure I have), that post does not count. All other posts count.

Trust me, none of this is about the CORSET keyword - but rather about how many people post in this thread in general, and that I expected there to be < 200 posts total. But if I would have allowed the remaining time to just be used for CORSET and no other keyword, I'd prolly have 1000+ at the end.

I'll reduce the target number for CORSET to 300, sure.

But if I take into account how many more days would have been left, and that I'm having plenty of other tasks already - I'm kind of happy with not having any more than I currently have, and would probably discard the whole thread if the tasks would just double or triple if people post until some time next week.

Very correct, too, actually.

Two people need to post or an hour must pass before you can add more keywords. My posts do NOT count if they are reports, but do count otherwise.

I will limit myself to 1 Keyword per post. So I win or lose my efforts on the one item...you did say it wouldn't happen right away, but was more of a "when possible" thing. And so I thought it was more fun than some of the other stuff.

I am a bit surprised you expected such a low total (even if it has gotten a bit wild - I try to never post so much any more). Even a notorious grouch like me knows you enough to know you are a good person in the community. And, although there are several other threads going on right now, your may be that much more comprehensible than at least a couple of the others.

If the totals are getting too high where it's not going to be fun or will cause stress, then it is a good idea to reduce the time of the thread. It is meant to be a celebration of reaching 1000 posts, not a punishment.

If not 200, maybe 500. But I'm more expecting this thread to get 2000 replies at the rate you all post - I underestimated that, and thought you all would be way easier on me during week days at least. But it's not really looking like it's slowed down at all...

The corset wasn't really a "fun" or "not fun" item - I just wanted to give myself a little (unreasonably high) goal as a push towards buying one. I've been curious, but it's not filling my dreams or keeps me up at night. I might still buy one anyway, and I feel like I've just ended up disappointing everyone now because I took away from that. But corset is a keyword that doesn't really align with the rest, and while I appreciate it on its own, most people added to something else - and just looking at how many hours of tasks I'll have to do, which is very likely to be weeks worth of + 7 days left otherwise, I just know it falls way outside the area where I'd still enjoy it.

If you look at my previous threads: none of them got nearly as many replies. And I don't just want to be in a position where it's all too much and I just rather leave gD than bother with my thread.

Look at how long Pariah has been working on his 1000 post thread: and with denial and everything (which I really like three to four weeks of), I can guarantee you I wouldn't still be here.

Don't blame yourself for having added too much, I just wanted the thread to be fun for everyone - alas, not limit it to a handful of posts per person per day. Guess you can't just have everything, and I'll either design my next thread differently (without denials, with tasks being one minute long per addition, or something along the lines), but - I know my mistakes now.

It was absolutely great to watch a few people subtract so very very much, though -even if just for trying the TRAP task, which by now four people have done.

Also I like Bloxo's idea of adding a pleasurable keyword for the last hours of the thread
