I see that some people include letters that are already proven not to be in the code. Based on the codes that received a score of zero, you won't have to use the A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, L, N, Q, R, S, W and X. Let alone what you can do with any code that received a score of 1+.

There are some advantages to making guesses with letters you KNOW are going to score zero. Not if you're trying to guess the actual code, but certainly if you're just trying to narrow down the possibilities.

True. But I was aiming at certain codes and didn't want to use examples to take the code (users) down. Reading back what I wrote, I guess that the message is easily misinterpreted. An example of what I meant is the code WWBFSHDL, or WWRFBLAE compared to RFBLFAEM who received 1 point (no offensive to the posters).

But like I said, you're right about using unavailable letters to check or lock down any available letters.

not guessing but sharing some observations (could be erroneous..lol) I made from some guesses

the eight letters in no particular order are most probably Y,Y,M,V,J,J and either (O,O), (O,P), (P,P)

Y - one is in the 1st two spots and one is in the last two spots
J - one J is definitely in the 3rd or 4th spot from the left and the other J is in some other spot but not the 7th
M - not in the 5th or 8th spot
V - not in the 3rd or 4th spot
