Driving Barefoot?

Would you or have you ever driven barefoot?

If so, why?

Been there, done that. I do it all the time because I'm either too lazy to put on shoes or I know I won't be getting out of the car anytime soon.

That's fair enough, do you find it more comfortable?

On the short trips, yes. Longer ones it just depends.

I do it often. Obviously not in the dead of Winter, only when the temperature is clement enough to warrant being barefoot. I personally find it more comfortable, but I'm kind of weird that way.

Hi,

Yes, it's how I learnt clutch control and to find the biting point.

I still do it even now if I have a new car etc. Great way to get to know her.

Yep! I'm actually in the process (have been for the past year) of transitioning to a more barefoot lifestyle in general. I've swapped my supportive running shoes with corrective insoles to a zero drop heel (so the heel isn't above the balls of the feet because of the cushioning). Once I've gotten used to those, I plan on doing the transition to a 5mm sole and then to nothing at all.

I drive barefoot on a regular basis. Driving to and from work, if I run out to pick up take-out, etc. A lot of times, if I'm driving long distances, I will kick my shoes off. I find it more comfortable to be barefoot.

Same here. When it's warm and I'm on a longer drive than I totally do.
It's very comfortable! Nothing weird about it as I see it.

If in barefoot in a car it's cuz I'm doing a dare, do odds are I'm naked as well in the car. So it's exhilarating

I don't tend to, I find it somewhat uncomfortable to be barefoot while driving, but I drive a manual and if I'm in heels, it's easier to be barefoot.

This does seem to be the main reason for people to drive barefoot
