Cliffhanger
Some love them, some hate them. (..or not?)
What is your opinion about cliffhangers? Do you prefer reading/writing stories with or without them? Do you think it makes a difference for stories on here? Or doesn't it matter whether you use them or not? Love |

Anyone that reads my main story - STRIP POKER WITH A TWIST THE SEQUEL knows my views about cliff hangers.
Personally i find it attracts readers back to the story and wanting to know what happens next? Sometimes you can add a teaser to entice the reader even more. However just like the variation in stories m/s - f/m - f/f etc there will always be some who like and dislike different ideas. Love Rachie x x x x

I love putting them in stories and I think their a really cool thing to end with but I annoy myself sometimes when you put them in Right when something big is gonna happen!

I personally have to agree with Rachie, I enjoy using cliffhangers, even though sometimes it is hard for me to come up with them at times. I don't use teases that much. A hook is something that is important in stories, especially ones with multiple parts like the stories on here.
I don't mind reading stories with cliffhangers as long as the person doesn't just completely abandon the story and never write on it again, but that's a totally different topic.

When they're done right, they work beautifully.
Cliffhangers are shit when they simply stop the narrative flow though. |

I had to make sure to word that right. If I said for a long time, I'd be a hypocrite because it's been a fair amount of time since I've posted on Targeting the Ignored, but I am working on the next part even as I'm typing this...but I digress. I also agree with Doctor. The cliffhangers have to be executed well, otherwise it just really kills the story.
