So this is simple what’s your opinion on branding? This goes out to both slave and masters, I’d like to hear what the general opinion is, and as a bonus anyone who has/been branded, please tell us what it was like. Well enjoy.

For me, it is an awesome fantasy, but one of those things that is best left in fantasy due to the risk involved.

For me it's a bit too permanent. You never know if your current master is going to be your master in 2/5/10 years. But as a fantasy thing it has potential I guess.

I took on a sort of "brand" for my Lady as a show of my dedication to Her. I have a "tramp stamp" tattoo naming me as Hers. I do not regret it, even though we are now parted. I do, however, need to visit a studio to have a cover-up done or have at least her name removed. I sort of like the rest of it.

I see a tattoo as a much more realistic and safe alternative to branding.

As a fantasy, I find it to be very exciting and thrilling, especially to think about and/or rp. Perhaps it is too permanent to actually do it in real life.

Fantasy wise it is a turn on, but I don't think I would ever want to do that for real.

Even tattoos are too permanent, though I would be down for Henna, or custom temporary tattoos that you can order online.

I agree with all of you. It’s one of those fantasy things that in the moment seems hot, but had way to many drawbacks to actually be done.

Waaaay to permanent and dangerous for me to ever do or even fantasize about. However some fake branding could be fun, pressing metal that is nowhere near hot enough to brand. Just hurt a little and make it a little red, kinda like to wax.
For a slightly lasting mark you could use henna or temp tattoos in the same place.

Nearest I have done is the last day of school. we where all signing each others shirts and one boy wrote his name on my chest (on the skin over my cleavage not my boobs) but used thick permanent marker.

It took weeks to come off and was in a place that was difficult to hide lol

The idea of branding can be kinda hot but I would never do it. However I do have a matching tattoo with Mr. Devious. It doesnt say that I'm his sub or anything but it does link us and I love that.

We are married now but we got it done before I even moved in with him. I knee when I got it that i would not regret it 10 years down the road even if we weren't together anymore. The symbolism it represents is something that i want to remember forever even if one day we aren't together.

I'll be the odd one out here...I've actually done a brand, both giving and receiving, although not in a kink context. In short, it was a close group of friends who agreed to brand each other as a sort of mark of respect. Something like secret club, a way of giving significance to the friendship in a way that people outside of the inner circle wouldn't know about. It took some effort to take care of, and I did have a mild infection, but it went relatively smoothly. I still have the mark.
