Not much I've done after coming home yesterday: I spent the evening collared, watched the first four episodes of Friends while laying on my couch curled up - and despite struggling with the names a little still (I'm bad at names in general, and so Joey vs. Chandler is something that's not exactly obvious from the get-go to me), is fun nevertheless. I kept the collar on to sleep - despite the time I "have" to wear it being over, I actually really enjoy wearing the restraints I got just last week, so I don't particularly mind. I've swapped it for my metal collar when I woke up this morning, and that just goes along with an entirely different mindset for me. While the leather collar very much just makes me want to cuddle and be submissive, the metal one is heavier... and albeit not as restrictive around the neck, not as tight (at least if I wear the leather one tightly, which I don't always do), it feels verrry much more restrictive - and while I can easily fit in all fingers inbetween my neck and the metal on opposing sides, just feels stricter.

I completed a single edge, and was wondering a little which of the tasks to really do today - as I am going to spend most of my time with family, I was looking at either corner time or kneeling on rice, but settled for the latter. It's actually something I've been very curious about, and despite not having mentioned it in-person before, wanted to genuinely try, even though it's not supposed to be easy.

So I went ahead, grabbed rice from the cupboard, and placed it in two spots that I would be kneeling on on the ground, started the timer, knelt down and put my blindfold on, nose touching the wall. I actually had no real idea as to where a good spot to kneel on rice was supposed to be, and ended up settling for a wall in the hallway. And pretty much immediately realized that this wasn't going to be easy. It didn't take long for my legs to start twitching, and shifting around slightly for a little relief was a terrible idea that only made it worse. I had initially started counting up in my head, got about twenty, promptly forgot where I was and continued from fifty for a few numbers... and just was super distracted by the rice, so annoyed by how hard it was to properly kneel, and so much in discomfort that when I just felt like I couldn't bear it anymore, just a little over three and a half minutes had passed.

It wasn't at the point of being painful yet, just very, VERY uncomfortable, and I kind of just wanted to stop there. No one said I had to do it in one session, and even despite it just being so short, I had bright red spots on my kneecaps where the rice had dug in.

Even 25 minutes later, as I'm writing this not all of the spots have completely disappeared - there's still a few (light) marks left... And maybe, just maybe, I want to be forced to do a little more rice time, perhaps with a vibe in to keep me more "motivated" and distracted... (but probably won't do it as part of this series of tasks - maybe if I work up my courage to ask, later, at some point). Still, I'm glad I tried, and will most certainly refer to it as punishment from here on out.
