The average distance between asteroids in the asteroid belt is 1 Million kilometres. It's not so crowded in there after all!

The moon is moving away from the earth by 1.5 inches a year. It's also slowing down the earth's rotation. In about 100,000 years, our days will be 26 hours long

Gliese 581-C, Gliese 581-D, and Gliese 581-G are 3 planets which are all in the "habitable zone" in relation to their sun; the three most "earth-like" planets we've discovered so far.

Our moon is actually made out of the earth's crust
