1) Well do like King Charles spaniel, Golden retriever, Labrador and Dalmatian. But I also do like mongrels as they can be so individual.
2) Mainly their loyalty, (I mean cats generally are only interested in you when they want something... they will come to you if THEY want some fuss, but if they don't, you can forget it lol) how happy they are to see you when you come home, how they seem to be able to tell weather you are happy or sad and act accordingly. How they always want to please you, how much fun they can be, how they are always there for you.
3) Cutest, I'd say corgi's, Yorkshire terriers can be, king Charles spaniel, Pomeranian and Papillon. But almost any dog can look cute.
