My first skinny dip was at a tidal pool in Hawaii with my GF and another couple, long ago in college days. It was at night and we could barely see one another so it was not awkward.
The next was a nude resort with the wife. No friends from before the trip. It was awkward for us at first but not for long. Made friends after.
Many nude beach trips with wife or alone. No friends went with us.
More recently at a nude resort we did not go with friends but made so many there. It is easier to make friends when you are all nude. Two of these friends we now go to nude beaches and skinny dipping in their pool nude all the time. I am always the first to strip.
Never went to a nude place with a friend that I had not met as a nudist except that first time.
