1) I'm going to London to see the new year in with my sister.
2) Not really, I sometimes make a few lighthearted ones, but noting serious. I always think if something is worth doing/changing, it's worth doing/changing at any time of the year. I'm not any more or less likely to follow it weather I start on the 1st Jan or the 23rd of October.
