I love the way you think. One idea is using handcuffs and freezing the key in an ice cube until it melts (either a real key, or a symbolic one if you don't have the equipment, but no getting your hands free without it). Maybe it could even be one of the ones in the funnel and you can randomize it so you don't know when you'll get it (just obviously be careful not to choke).
