Do this on a windy night, and have one of your windows opened just a bit so there's a bit of a draft whenever a gust of wind hits your window just right. Every time that happens you'll wonder whether someone opened the door.
For the "something touching you" idea: if you want to get creative you might use something
like this to drop something using a timer.
