So, either one person lies (and stumbles quite often in his lies), or there is a huge, vast conspiracy of liars involving thousands of people working in secret for many years, including registering for the GOP, living secret lives, fabricating evidence since 2005, just in case Donald ever became president.

Occam's razor, anyone?

A huge vast conspiracy of liars? Like with the Loch Ness monster i reckon...

Lying about Nessy is really not cool!

oh my gosh how often do we have to tell you to not take secret information and make them public.... we have a special system that transforms truth speakers into frauds. pls stop putting that under a high risk of being detected !

Has anyone read Animal Farm by George Orwell?

Diapered_prince 05-09-2018 05:20 PM

is that the one where the pigs take over the farm and the rest of the animals are trying to build a windmill?

Runesmith 05-09-2018 09:36 PM

Yes, that's the one. It was a critique of the communists in Russia, but it's eerily applicable today.

Diapered_prince 05-09-2018 09:57 PM

I assume that is why you brought it up. I would like to point out that I read it 10 years ago so my memory of it is a bit fuzzy.

Wolf007 05-10-2018 01:13 AM

You guys DO KNOW that everything you say here ends up on some NSA-dude's desk for analyzing, right?

We don't want to find our names on the "hit-list" afterall.

So, fuzzy memories are quite fine and possibly lifesaving.

That is a relief. Still if the NSA are wasting their time on little ol me, then our world must be perfect with no danger at all.

Animal Farm is a good satire. I like it better than 1984.

knorke 05-11-2018 02:51 PM

1984 doesn't really seem to be the way we're headed. Have you ever read Brave New World, by any chance?

Diapered_prince 05-11-2018 03:16 PM

I have not, could you give a plot summary?

knorke 05-11-2018 03:22 PM

It's been years since I've read it, I don't remember much...

Runesmith 05-12-2018 03:17 AM

I think the concepts in Brave New World didn't really come through. Fortunately we went on a tangent.

Diapered_prince 05-12-2018 12:33 PM

Did we? I was under the impression we were still talking about Brave New World and the fact that I haven't read it while Knorke is too far removed from it that they don't remember much.
You, however, sound like you know what it is about. would you like to explain it or nah?
