Uploading Photos
Hi,
It would appear that pretty much every photo I post right now is posting on it's side for some reason? I've tried to change my avatar too and that's gone on it's side too. The pictures themselves are the right way round at time of upload? Any idea why this might be or what the solution to this problem is? |
before upload i would rotate it 360(?) degrees and save in your phone and then upload. it's because you took the photo without your phone being straight up - your phone automatically rotated it the right direction and the site doesn't recognize it for some reason.

I would just make a copy of the original in paint and resave it. Should fix it. If not, just rotate it in paint and fix that way.

Modern phones and cameras store rotational data as a metadata attribute, rather than change the image depending on how the camera is being held. Our software is not that smart at the moment.
