Add KIK to Instant Messaging
 

What's up getDare people,

I have a cosmetic suggestion which i think would be helpful to many members and easy to implement technically. It's a crime if it has not been suggested before.

There's a way to add instant messaging names to your profile (see attached screenshot). Kik is by far the most popular messenger and there are hundreds of threads on getDare that involve it, yet it is missing from the Instant Messaging list. There's an empty spot on the bottom right and i think it deserves it.

Would it be reasonable to ask for that little change?

Yes, I think that would be a great idea. Shouldn't be too difficult to program and would certainly make life on Gd easier. :)

That's a great idea. I'm pretty sure that AIM, MSN and Yahoo! don't even exist any more.

Kik should be on the list. You can link it to kik.me/username

Maybe Snapchat, too.

I agree. Yahoo, AIM, and ICQ don't exist, and I'm pretty sure Microsoft merged MSN with Skype for messaging.

Suggested clients, in order of use: Kik, Discord, Skype (already there, but keep), Snap, Line.

depp, if you want to do it quickly, just change the titles and icons for the deprecated ones to the new ones.

Whilst it feels like this took some diving up, it does seem like a really easy change to make. I suppose the downside would be for people still using them, but it's just as easy for them to put it into their signatures
