GetDare Movie Night!

Grab your popcorn, a snuggly blanket, and get your computers ready! It's time for GetDare Movie Night!

Recently in chat, I floated the idea of GetDare Movie Nights, and there appeared to be some interest. As such, I am going to attempt to host live movie nights in chat.

How will it work?
We will meet in the Lounge Chatroom. After introductions are made, I will initiate a countdown, and we will all attempt to press "PLAY" at the same time, effectively watching a movie together. Throughout the movie, we will continue to chat, snack, and enjoy each others' company. If you show up late, I will try to update you with the time we are at in the movie.

What do you need to do?
Show up in the Lounge at the suggested time. I will attempt to choose movies from Netflix with international access so that as many users as possible can join us. Preferably, you would either have two screens or use split-screen to view the movie and chat at the same time.

What if you can't make it or don't like the movie?
Start a new thread with your own movie night!

I thought about this, but for now, I’m not comfortable sharing my Netflix account name. I’m happy if other groups decide to take this a step further and try that out though! It’s a good idea!

Might need to work out how to participate, as on tiny screen, but there's some time... Oh, not much time. Need to get cracking.

Nice idea. One could play a "daring game" during the movie. Something like a drinking game, but instead of drinking you have to do a (micro-)dare everytime a special thing happens or word is mentioned.^^ Does anybody know this movie already?

Are things still going ahead for tonight?
