Moderator relationship
Hey I just read this:

I try to be friendly with anyone (however I can't like everything, and can't give everyone dares every day if the week)

I have said love, but it's a bit strong, never disliked any though and I am really close with some.

I love them! When I made my account Rachie, Nellybelly and some others helped me get use to this site by showing me around. Also they are always nice and thoughtful.

It seems a bit silly to throw all of us moderators together as if we're one person. Some people might like certain moderators but not really know some others very well. It's as if sometimes people forget we are just members and people like everyone else on this website.
Anyways, I don't really fit into any of the poll options so I didn't vote. I don't have a relationship with everybody here but I do speak to a fair few members not all of them moderators. |

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Then again I would think it might be a bit harsh to name people too. I'm not sure what the solution would be lol :)

I guess since that's my thread we're talking about.. I should answer. I answered I didn't like them at first, but now I'm getting to like them. To be fair.. I definitely can't say that about every mod, but yeah.
I feel like now that I've posted the thread and gotten responses that really surprised me (most people didn't disagree completely anyway) I felt a lot better. I REALLY feel like when a mod shows you personally that they care, it does wonders. ._.! Of course.. not every mod has the time to do that. I understand that. I just feel like it really helps since.. they are people too, as many people have said. *shrug* What's starting to annoy me a little more are the people who I tended to group in the .."mod clique" which doesn't REALLY exist, but there's something there. I guess I just don't like when people who aren't mods.. act like mods. I guess they are users that care about users though? ... ._. eh. Honestly I think people can only go on their personal opinion for this kind of thing. There's no reason to love the mods or hate the mods from the start. It's how you see them.. after you see them. And if you have a bad experience with them, then.. that's what happened I guess. No one's fault.. except now you'd need a good experience from that person to even it out. :P It's too much work for one person.. which sucks for them. :[ but that's really how it is. |

Why is there no option for "indifference"? They're the same as any other user. Some I like, some I don't, most I don't know well enough.

I find it a challenge to accurately voice my opinion based upon the options available from which to choose. Some moderators are polite while others do not reply to private messages or acknowledge users. I'd like to think they are not on high horses, but I have seen bias and blatant crude attitudes which lead me to believe they like their high perch of "power."

Most of the moderators that we have today I became friends with when they were lowly regular users like me. MBP, on the other hand, has always seemed like a god. ;) |
