Daily Riddles
Who can answer my riddles I don’t know but I hope at least 1 person can answer them or there will be no more.
I will try to post 1 a day but I will not post another until the last has been answered. |
1st Riddle
The Butcher
A butcher has a 36 inch waist around, and he is 5 feet tall. What does he weigh? |
Spoiler:
He weighs his meat before butchering it ;)
(I actually haven't seen this riddle before either :)) |
Has anyone else tried. He might not be right.

Welcome The Day!
I welcome the day with a show of light, I steathily came here in the night. I bathe the earthy stuff at dawn, But by the noon, alas! I'm gone. What am I? |
Nope again sorry.
|
I wanted to say the sun, but that would not be 100% correct, so I go for the morning dew.
|
sunrise?
i think :S |
Yeh, it's the sun!
|
wow, the sun goes at noon? o_o
|
dampness or dew?
|
If you said "morning dew" you are corect and the next will be up later tonight.

Bus Trip
You're driving a bus that is leaving on a trip from Pennsylvania and ending in New York. To start off with, there were 32 passengers on the bus. At the next bus stop, 11 people get off and 9 people get on. At the next bus stop, 2 people get off and 2 people get on. At the next bus stop, 12 people get on and 16 people get off. At the next bus stop, 5 people get on and 3 people get off. What colour are the bus driver's eyes? |
Spoiler:
"You're driving a bus" means you are the driver. So his/her eyes are whatever colour eyes the reader has! :D
|
Spoiler:
You are the driver so whatever colour your eyes are. Mine are green, so in this case the drivers eyes are green. The rest of the riddle is irrelevant and meant to confuse.
I guessed the butcher correctly, he weighs his meat, was out with the second, I immediately thought rainbow as well though looking back it didn't fit all the criteria. I got the morning dew okay. I first though mist or fog and that evolved into dew. |
Yes marvin you are right you are the busdriver.
I will post the next very soon and if someone guesses it right i might post another later tonight. |

Anagram words
Below are six clues to six words. When arranged in the correct order, each word is an anagram of the previous word with a letter removed. Capital of France snake headache tablet single article twisted ankle coarse file equally. It may be hard for some but try your best people. |
OK so I just feel plain ole stupid on this one
Ok much thinking to do!!!!!!!! I will try not to hurt myself! |
Capital of France, snake, headache tablet, single article, twisted ankle, coarse file equally. Paris, asp, aspirin, A, sprain, Headache tablet, twisted ankle, Capital of France, coarse file equally , single article. So; Aspirin, spain, paris, ? , asp, A This is as far as I got. I am not quite sure I have divided the words correctly to begin with... Oh dear... |
Well done kitten. I couldn't think of a snake at all. We don't have snakes in NZ so no reason to be familiar with them. 'A' doesn't fit the criteria though as according to the rule it should drop 1 letter only so should be 2 letters.
Aspirin, sprain, Paris, rasp, asp, ? A rasp is a coarse steel file used to file metal by say, a panelbeater. Single article, bugger, as, ap, pa, ps, sp, sa ?? sa maybe? Aspirin, sprain, Paris, rasp, asp, s.a. Hold on, coarse file equally is wrong. It is coarse file, equally, single article. Aspirin, sprain, Paris, rasp, asp, ?, A but that is 7 words, or 6 words and a letter, ah, it doesn't say it has to be 6 enteries, just that it has to be 6 words, 'a' isn't a word. So equally = as, ap, pa, ps, sp, sa. Haven't a clue. 'as' is the only recognised word from that field, so to take a leap of faith... ah, could be equally = 'as' as in 'same as..' Aspirin, sprain, Paris, rasp, asp, as, A |
-frowns- Oh darn. Hrm. Single article.. -thoughtful- This is going to be on my mind all day... |
Sorry kitten, I think I have it (fingers crossed nervously lol)
|
Heres a logic one.
Mom, Dad, and 2 kids have come to a river, and they find a boat. It is small and can only carry one adult or 2 kids at a time. Both kids are good rowers, but how can the whole family reach the other side of the river? |
2 kids go to the other side;
1 kid goes back; mother goes to other side; 2nd kid goes back; 2 kids go to the other side; 1 kid goes back; father goes to the other side; 1 kid goes back; 2 kids go to the other side; all on the other side. |
Yep, thats it JoP.
I wonder how many think it though and how many turn to google. |
:p no google. I knew a variant of this riddle, so it was easily solved.
