Pedo adverts (fixed)
 

I clicked the confessionring banner today and it took me directly to a site called 'daddyimnude' which was quite frankly blatant pedophilia. Maybe not children but certainly young teenage girls, I suggest you guys remove it asap..

I virtually never click on the adverts banners; however after your comment above I investigated. You are right it is still linked to a site named daddyiamnude. Some girls on the front page look way under 18.

I agree with you Dice7 the site seems inappropriate to be linked with getDare and looks rather sick in my opinion. It is most certainly an over 18 porn site link and encourages Pedo activity. The sooner it could be removed the better. Im sure it cant be good for this site.

I went and had a browse, after just scroling down the page a little, I agree completely. I think I'll be reporting the site, I'd advise everyone else to do the same really, get it shut down.

The ads have been reported to Depp. https://www.iwf.org.uk/ have also been informed to get the site itself shut down.

Not quite sure what you're trying to suggest there, but I don't think I like it.

As for Depp not getting rid of adverts I have no problem with that, hence the fact I actually clicked the banner as it seemed interesting, but when they are pedophilic as they so obviously were, and infact not anything to do with what the actually advert you click is there is obviously a problem. If theres not a problem why not let 13 year olds place s&m adverts and let people post nude pictures on here? If the site is condoning pedophilia it might as well not put up a fake front.

He won't taken down sexual ads which are 18+. A link to a site which has paedophile content is different. Just to explain that an advertising company do the ads rather than Depp choosing the sites.

Unfortunately it's quite obvious from the clicking on the site that the girls are underage. Not even slightly, very underage.

It say there all over 18 but they do look young.

I agree because if they are under 18 the pics must be removed and if not who ever put the pics up can put them on a different site.

thefact that you;re aware of the problem and the advert is still on the site is pretty piss poor, i must say.

I recall hearing somewhere in staff-land once upon a time, actually, that the issue/reason for the 18+ ads is as much getdare as it is the advertisers. I think there was a period wherein depp experimented with ordinary ad companies but found that some of them were less than willing to advertise with an adult site such as getdare.

Also I can't remember when this period was and maybe I am just making it up? The years get blurry.

(but yes, the ads are strictly neccassary for the site, ya know. continuing to run and all. getdare aint cheap!)

I have admin'd a fairly big site before and I know how expensive it can be. Absolutley no problems with the adverts, Depp shouldn't be out of pocket..however Paedophilia is pretty much as serious as you can get and I'm sure Depp appreciates that also.

We do, and already have. Depp, however, in a shockingly brash and uncouth and flatly rude move does in fact have a life outside of getdare and sometimes is unable to immediately respond.

Terrible, I know! Shocking that people would have things to do besides run a website for which they are not paid and in fact occur great personal experience in terms of time, money, and effort.

I just got a text message from Pingu on my phone (no idea how he tracked down my phone number :).

After looking at the sites the ads linked to, I've rejected them from the site. I've also blocked the advertiser from placing ads here again in the future.

The best way to contact me in the future if you have immediate concerns is my depp.davenport(at)getdare e-mail address. This forwards to my phone and while I won't always be able to act right away, will read it.
