For the point, I'm sure there's some Mathsy word for the highest point in the Z axis that's 5 letters.

EDIT: Alternatively, it's the existence of the z axis that makes the graph 3D rather than 2D. Perhaps SPACE could be the answer we're looking for? I'm not too confident in that, though.

SeaFlower please help with the Mathsy terms

I’ve been lurking on this thread for about an hour but screw it.

I’m in for one puzzle and can’t say no to any dares within limits until it’s solved

Anyway, 1 is NOT masquerade

It’s referencing Hannibal Lecter (that’s his mask) and his relationship to Clarice Starling.

PacifierGirl2 01-01-2018 01:45 PM

Ah, that's right. Damn, Masquerade felt too good to be true lol. What word are we looking at then?

A pretty massive clue we should maybe be looking at is movies with a character in their title. We know it's a movie that a majority of people will know, we may be able to force out an answer - especially if it's based on the first letters of each word, which it may not be.

It’s 10 letters so...

Psychopath?

scguycola 01-01-2018 01:52 PM

I feel like the three clues for the inspiration are essentially saying it’s a deep sea crustacean

PacifierGirl2 01-01-2018 01:53 PM

I think the Genus is the especially important part though as it says that it's specifically the genus of a deep sea crustacean. But even then sciencegal just says that that means we'll be in the right area

1: something Hannibal Lector related. Psychopath?

2: point? space?

3: blank? black? empty?

4: hard? blue? acid?

5: unilateralis?

6: ???

A: deep sea

B: amphipod

C: genus

scguycola 01-01-2018 01:58 PM

I keep thinking 6 is electric eel but the lettering wouldn’t match up unless it’s electronic eel

Really multitasking atm lol

'Height' is 6 letters, maybe 'depth'.

'Point' first and 'Space' second choice though

I think this one will be clear while put in context with others

That one is really hurting my head. I feel like the "part of each" implies that it doesn't include the entirety of each word, so I don't think the word is actually eel - otherwise it would just show the phone and the eel, right? idk

scguycola 01-01-2018 02:01 PM

Yeah, I think it’s safe to say that it’s “point”

If it was space, it wouldn’t be pointing to a specific coordinate

SeaFlower 01-01-2018 02:04 PM

cellular-... might also be a clue for 6

but Him to her... ?! psycopath to her? doesn't really fit

nina@ 01-01-2018 02:08 PM

for 6th one could the first word be smartphone as the eel is of phylum chordata (CHORD...DATA)

scguycola 01-01-2018 02:09 PM

She sees him as a psychopath

May imply what is he to her?
