"UK" and "gas prices" in the same sentence? Either go to the USA or UK and pick one xD

Ha-ha

If you think that is bad then consider the prices we had before the 2p tax drop. Prices at the pump maxed out near where i am at about £1.19 a litre. However in Scotland they reached £1.30!

For you Americans, that is about $11 a barrel!

This is all my dad talks about. Inflation fuel prices. Then he rememebers the company pays for all his fuel and he shuts up. :D

Yep! That is how my dad sees it. If they pay you 44p a mile in the UK (most companies do) then even on a nice big 3.8 litre like his, it still works out as you make a few pence profit!

Unfortunately for me being a student i do not get expenses :P

Shame really. I just get my dad to drive me everywhere. :P Even when I'm old enough He's going to drive me about untill it falls back below the pound :O If it's ever that cheap again.

I am sorry to say that it will never fall back below the pound. Especially with the news that there are at least 20 electric cars coming onto the British market this year.

I drive a small car and pay $50 a week to keep gas in it. Can't afford to live near school, don't really have a choice.

Lucky for me

I decided long ago that spending two hours a day getting back an forth to work was to much. So I moved closer to work - I bought my car in 2003 it has just over 6K on it (btw it's a color concept new beetle - green). I get gas once every three or four months.

Maybe this is a way for us to get back to more of a community environment the people that work in an area live in it. Local grocery stores are important because you can walk to and from (mine is across the street) or stop when needed after work. Free shipping from online shops covers the rest.

I don't know maybe in the end (after transition) it will be a good thing.

Unfortunately i do not think you will have the choice in the next 10 to 15 years.

I didn't go threw 6 years of college to drive a car that gets 100mpg with 3 hp >.>. in 10-15 years housing prices will have more then doubled, I am not worried. Both of my cars have lifetime warrantys, covers over 14,007 things. The roar of the HEMI will live! I refuse to let gas companys beat me, beat wall street, and beat our economy.

I don't know how much a gallon is, but it's about 1.50 a litre here.
It's come down a fair bit in the last few months, but only a few years ago it was under a dollar:)

Of course it all depends on the conversion rates and the standard of living n the countries.

i do live in the UK actually, just a special little place that nobody knows about. Its magical. and it is 92p a litre so im pretty well set.
