I have a huge whole in my heart, making me very upset. My grandma died a few months ago of cancer and I miss her dearly. My uncle died yesterday, the morning after his birthday, of a rare degenerative disease. I miss him too. I just graduated from college a few weeks ago and now I have to find a job. Wednesday was my last day of work. I cannot work there anymore unless I apply to be a lead teacher. I had to say goodbye to all the children and I cried.

I was listening to some Christmas songs today and one came up called "Where are you Christmas?" by Faith Hill. This got me thinking about having my first christmas without my grandma. I really miss her. We always went to her house every Christmas morning after church and had lunch together. I don't know what we are going to do this Christmas now.

I was watching television today and they were talking about Obama trying to get rid of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." What is the problem with people knowing that someone in the military is gay? I don't understand! The same goes with gay marriages. What's the problem with that?

In class today, we were talking about how young adults come out of the closet more than adolescents do. This got me thinking about a conversation I had with my sister. She said that she would be very disappointed and angry if she found out that I was a lesbian. My dad and grandma were there also.
