My tears are from my heart. As it was getting closer to the last time. So very much running through my heart. So very much running through my head. All the time, while crying inside and feeling it. Thinking of all those special times throughout my whole life. The fun times. The bad times. Those times in which became so very challenging.
The close relationship in which we had. That openness, in which those memories stick in my mind. Those kind of memories, that include the holidays.
As we were on that last drive, down those roads to the end.
As we were on that last drive, heading to the resting place.
As we were on that last drive, going past those very special spots.
As we were on that last drive, crossing that railroad tracks.
As we were on that last drive, going east through the old neighborhood.
As we were on that last drive, coming to that stop light on Broadway.
As we were on that last drive, going south on hillside.
As we were on that last drive, making that turn with no return.
As we were on that last drive, pulling up to that resting spot.
Now taking that finally walk with her, she was not alone.
Now taking that finally walk with her, all was in tears.
