Is it WRONG?

I have a friend. She is 15. While sorting something out with my MP4 player, and her laptop, a file was accidentally transferred to the Player. Using the E-Book function, I snuck a look at it, curious about it. It turned out to be a dirty conversation with my older brother [25], talking about him having intercourse with her. To me, that seems wrong. I don't know what to do. Do I go to the police about it, as it could be seen as Child Abuse, and in a couple of cases, requesting child pornography.. He is my brother, I love and respect him almost all the time, but this just seems too much for me to handle. If I do go to the police, she might be shocked and hateful towards me for finding a conversation, and he might want to kill me for grassing him up. I am so confused, and this is not what I need at the moment.
I would appreciate advisable comments, with the best solution.
A little background:
Live in UK.
Age of Consent is 16 [though oddly, it is 18 by law.. weird.(o.t)..]
He is a bit of a sex addict.. keeps record of number of women he has slept with with a List on FaceBook.
She is not 16 until November.

Yeah, talk with her before you do anything like Sekai said. And also remember, she's still a teen, so her hormones are all out of whack. Which means she's more sexually aroused now-a-days, probably, and is going to find the easiest way to get it out. Also, as long as they're not actually having sex, it should be fine. And if they are, depending on how strong their relationship is (If it goes past just sex, they actually like each other) then don't go to the police.
I'm in a bit of a similar situation myself, only he's a little younger than your brother.Posted 07-14-2010 at 02:16 PM by SlutPuppy -
Sorry but a 15 year old is just too young for a 25 year old boy where sex is concerned.
I understand where you are coming from and I appreciate that you have concerns for the morality of the situation, but there are other things to consider as well.
It is probably just silly flirting at the moment but these things can easily get out of hand, and if they do then lives can be wrecked. Your brother could find himself in serious trouble with the police and be charged with underage sexual intercourse.
After saying all that, it is clear that you are looking to do the right thing here. It is difficult to give advice, knowing only part of the story. Don’t do anything hastily or you may just cause further complication. Think carefully about it first. You know your brother and you also know this girl, so you need to assess the situation then talk ether to the girl or to your brother first. BUT you will need to carefully consider your words before you do.
You want to pursue the course of action that will result in the least damage to all concerned. Try talking to someone first as going straight to the police, would almost certainly result in trouble for your brother and unpleasant problems for yourself.
If talking doesn’t work then is there anyone else you can trust? Remember you are trying to do the right thing here so don’t fall into the trap of taking all of the burden for your brother’s lifestyle. You can only do so much; don’t start blaming yourself for everything.Posted 07-14-2010 at 02:43 PM by theone
