We all know that joke about how if a woman says she's fine, you should worry because she's not fine and actually planning to kill you.

So when I was growing up, we were taught that fine really means

Feelings Inside Not Expressed

And that using that word is bad. Because it means you're holding things in. But I never really understood what was so bad about having a word for "feelings inside not expressed." Maybe that's exactly what I want to...

Ok, so this one may not be a semantics blog. But it's still word themed!

I found out about a new word today.
Quote:
grool = girl drool. Grool is not squirting. It is the lube that women produce when they are sexually aroused. Some girls have clear grool and some girls have creamy grool.

Source: Urban Dictionary
That's a terrible word to describe something that's really awesome. This is what I picture when I hear grool:

I was having a discussion with a local dom and he said this (I had just said something slightly smartass, but it was actually an issue of semantics for me. Which is usually a big issue for me.)
Quote:
I would never think of you as bratty, but in need of a lot of retraining.
Edit 2/4/15: To be fair to him, we were in the beginning stages of talking and I hadn't revealed that I identify as a brat yet.

This is the ranty irritated response that rolled in my head. Instead of...

Words: Now you're just Arguing Semantics

I like words a lot. And certain words mean certain things to me. Sometimes those words mean other things to other people.

Quote:
Now you're just arguing semantics
I don't know how many times I've heard this. And you know what I wanna say? Yeah, because we're using words.

The Word NO (Cont'd; as it applies to having... boundaries)

This is actually written in response to naughtylittlegirl's blog posts on safety (Part 1 and Part 2). If you haven't read them yet, you should go read them. And if you're somehow reading MY blog, but haven't read hers yet, you must not frequent the blog section. I highly recommend doing so and her blogs in particular. /end advertisement

Being comfortable saying no - again, I'm something of a brat. I say no plenty. It's actually one of the first things I learned to watch for. How does...

The Word NO

One of my favorite words.

The problem is that I use it in a few different ways.

Sometimes my NO means "You're getting on my nerves. Now get out of my face."

Sometimes my NO means "I'm not comfortable doing that. So stop pushing me." A variation on the above, but still a bit different. I don't like being pushed out of my comfort zone before I'm ready. I need to be the person who makes the decision to step out of it. I do occasionally like...
