Some of my issues with getdare
Hi everyone, I know I've been gone for a while.
Just wanted to write a blog to explain some of the things recently that have really turned me off from getdare.
1) I often get dares from people, either through PM, threads, or other places who haven't taken a single look at my profile, what my interests are, and what is feasible for me. It just feels extremely disrespectful and I never get as much as a "sorry" when I tell them to read my signature. I can usually just ignore them but even then it's a big turn off - and when I need to ask for tasks as part of a dare or a thread, then it gets really confusing what I should do... and it really just ruins it for me.
2) Horrible grammar. I know that English might not be everyone's most comfortable language - but surely basic spelling and grammar isn't too much to ask for! It just feels really disrespectful and I don't want to talk when it feels like the other person isn't putting in the most basic of efforts.
3) Weirdly aggressive comments/pm's. Maybe this is a kink thing but lots of them taken out of context would be a pretty scary threat, and it always makes me kind of taken aback whenever I see them.
4) Not taking a hint. I've had so many people try to get me to give them dares or tasks even after I make it pretty clear that I'm not interested in that, and again it just makes me feel objectified and not heard.
5) Liars. This one doesn't affect me directly, but I always get a little annoyed when I see some blatantly untrue stories (like walking around campus and going to class naked. As a university student myself, I sincerely doubt that doesn't get them removed by campus security. Maybe it's different in different countries, or it's some uber extreme sorority thing but I doubt it). I think it takes away from the credibility of the site overall, and maybe is what causes people giving obscenely over-the-top dares. While there might've been times I forget to complete dares I promised, I always try my best and write reports on whatever I fail - it's also why I end up messaging so many people to make sure I can actually attempt the dares I get.
It's probably not a large portion of getdare that do these annoying things, but recently it's been enough that I don't want to spend too much time on the site.
I do still want to receive interesting dares from people and be instructed to do things which I would normally maybe be too chicken to do. I also haven't done a dare thread in a long time so I think I might make a thread and hopefully find a reason to continue using getdare a lot. Edit: I've started a thread here!
If anyone has similar experiences with the site and wants to share, feel free to PM me! And as always, if you have a devious dare for me, I'd be happy to try it out!

I think that 3 really only happens to girls on this site, as I have not had any problems with that. I do agree with all of your points though.
One other anoying thing that I have noticed that is all of the people spamming threads just trying to get dares without putting any effort into giving out good dares to other people.Posted 07-13-2023 at 07:31 PM by Qwerty4569 -
Well. I don't really read stories here so can't say much to number 5.
But I agree with the other points.
3 is indeed a kink thing, at least for me it is a bit, though that works out really bad if it's combination with 1 and they don't have the slightest clue what you like, dislike or they directly want you to break a limit.Posted 07-13-2023 at 10:51 PM by VeronikaAnalSubSlut -

But regardless, glad to hear from others that they have similar experiences - hopefully it'll get better!Posted 07-14-2023 at 01:55 AM by SluttySarah -
I agree with Qwerty: point 3 happens to girls, and represents, IMO, the transposition, in GD scale, of the sexist wave that's sadly taking place in today's society (non)culture. For some people (too much, for my tastes) it looks like time is running backward, females are classified as 'angels' or 'sluts' (easy to shift from angels to sluts, impossible the opposite), and the 'sluts' are meat to satisfy any desire of anyone (not to talk about LGBTQIA+ world).
It's sad to say, but the saddest thing is that I feel like in the society the common response to this phenomenon is veering towards puritanism, leaving the people that wants to live its sexuality freely, without inhibitions and constraints or violence, in a no man's land where they are hit, in different ways, by both sides.Posted 07-14-2023 at 03:19 AM by redcamel

I think I know some of the blogs you mentioned. I always assume they are just sex fantasy, or at least is partically fictional. Because the things described are way too dangerous to actually do it in real life. In my mind being caught by the police won't be the worst thing that could happen if they actually did what they say.
However I do have some issues with the "lairs" on here. My issue is towards the ones that either would never finish dares yet always come back and begging for more, or the ones that aren't really who they say they are. I think those are worse.Posted 07-14-2023 at 05:09 AM by Garry0993 -

Number three is not a kink thing and not specific to girls, not even close. Like, sure, the women of getdare will have to deal with a higher percentage, but the number of male subs who don't accept "no, I'm straight, I'm sub, I'm off-limits" from me is disgusting. And you see it happen in chat too... We're not kink dispensers, just go watch porn...

They also sometimes try to force you into participating into their kink by stating your non reply IS a reply, for example some perfect stranger wants you to say if yes or no he can cum, and if you ignore them they state that your lack of reply will be taken as a no, now you're put in the position of someone denying orgasm without your consent :|

It's obviously a way some people use to try to 'make you' converse with them. Through you being polite and responding, or through giving you a guilt trip.
Just try to ignore them and don't worry about their games.
They don't deserve your attention if they behave in that way.
