My new project :)

Another silly late night...but at least it had purpose...

I've been teaching myself to use GIMP...why? Because I have been inspired, the Trading Card game sparked my imagination...and outside of work I feel I want to do more productive things than just play games and watch TV (when not socialising).

So I have started a new project, one I hope I stick with and one I hope will give some more fun to the site...what is this project? Well I will tell you...

I want to make a game, but something more than just some interesting forum post, but something people will have fun doing, something that will encourage interaction on the site and something to make people happy here

I am making a card game...part of me feels like I am just piggybacking on an idea, part of me feels I am doing something new and innovative...

My game will work as follows, I'll do a formal rule right up when I think it's in a better stage, but the outline is...

I am building some cards, aiming to build quite a few initially...

These cards will be representative of different dare categories I have grouped, I call these groups:

Pain
Fluids
Sensation
Sexual
Clothing
Restrictive
Domination
Exhibitionism

Cards will have a strength of 1-10.
Some groups will be stronger against others giving a x2 multiplier for strength in combat

Players can use these cards to battle with each other to determine who has to do a dare and what aspects that dare will consist of...but how to do this without people cheating...? I think I have a way

Players PM a screenshot of their card selection to a referee (a third designated player), The referee posts these images to the battle thread and announces the winner of each combat...

The combat will work as follows:
Each player chooses 5 cards from their deck.
The cards face off against one another...the strength and category this card belongs to will determine which card wins (draws will result in a coin toss)
The battle is a best of 5 situation...

The winner gets to add aspects to their dare depending on which of their cards won in the combat...let me give an example...

Player one plays:

Pain 2
Sensation 3
Sexual 1
Fluids 2
Clothing 2

Player 2 plays:

Clothing 1
Restrictive 2
Domination 1
Sexual 2
Pain 3

The battle results are as follows:

card 1: Draw, determined by coin toss (;et's say player 1 wins that)
Card 2: Restrictive wins because of the x2 multiplier (player 2 wins)
Card 3: Sexual wins because of multiplier (player 1 wins)
Card 4: Fluids wins because of multiplier (Player 1 wins)
Card 5: Clothing wins because of multiplier (player 1 wins)

So player 1 wins 4 out of the 5 battles and gets to issue a dare with a Pain, Sexual, Fluid and Clothing aspect to player 2

i.e. Masturbate (sexual) while naked (clothing) with pegs (pain) on your balls, Cum Shot must land on face (fluid)


I intend to have 4 ranks of card:

Common: Strength 1-3
Uncommon: Strength 3-6
Rare: Strength 6-9
Ultra Rare: Strength ten

Common and Uncommon cards can be obtained from card packs, which are earned by doing good deeds on the site.
Rare cards can be earned from the GD user they are based on
Ultra Rare cards can be won from events, such as quizzes, or other chat games, or thread competitions

Rare and Ultra Rare cards will only be based on GD members who want them to be created and rarity/strength of the card will be based on the number of posts that member has done at the time of card creation

Trading can occur, but only when you have a swap of a card, i.e. If you give a card to someone...you lose it yourself

This is quite a big project, but something I will enjoy working on...any suggestions or comments are welcome

I think it's fair to say I have too much time on my hands...but hope this will be a quirky use of my time
