Erotic alchemy uses four base elements:

• Air
• Fire
• Water
• Earth

Each element has an interaction property set that will be described in the section devoted to that element.


Each of these base elements has a principle gender:

• Air, Male
• Fire, Male
• Water, Female
• Earth, Female

Each of these genders have countragenders or alternative genders:

• Air, ContraMale
• Fire, ContraMale
• Water, ContraFemale
• Earth, ContraFemale

Each gender amplifies and diminishes aspects of the element which will be described in the section devoted to that gender.

There are many more elements, genders, and symbols for all of those in general alchemy. Erotic alchemy does not make use of more than these until you reach the advanced levels.

Practice writing each symbol, and remembering what it means. A simple way to remember: Fire points up, water flows down, air floats up past any obstruction, earth is the foundation at the bottom of all things, the male and female symbols represent sexual anatomy, the contramale and contrafemale are reversed.
