Say I've been dared to edge x times before I'm allowed to cum (which I have).

What counts as an edge? How close to cumming does it have to be to count? Any definite signs? (Especially if x is kind of a big number)

What it is for females, I can't say. For men, a proper edge is when you just feel your penis trying to ejaculate. You can feel with your hand that your urethra is pumping. That's why it's so hard to hold it or stop it; your biology is already in motion.

I think what you're talking about is a "ruined orgasm", where you're cumming and don't use your hand (or toy) to assist it. That leaves you not being able to ejaculate fully, which is very :( and can result in your testicles aching.
