So, I was browsing the forums and months ago I saw the little adopt a pokemon thread. Well, I toyed around in my mind with the idea of members being pokemon/trainers. Ofc there were some obvious problems with this idea due to people attempted to connect this thread to the other. So I found a way to make both work without attempting to be subversive.

For those wishing to be Trainers:
You must come up with your name, devise relations (if any) to other trainers, announce starting Pokemon (if any) and your respective town. It would be wise to choose a town that has the pokemon type you wish to start with. Age is unnecessary and irrelevant. :)

Once you choose a town, you may only travel between the towns in that region. Once you beat the gLeader of that region, you may traverse to another.

For those wishing to be Pokemembers:
You must declare what Pokemon you are and state so in your signature or About Me.

Trainers may attempt to catch you but you may refuse to be caught an infinite amount of times.

**The Mystic Region is the location for which the purchase of Legendary Pokemon (with the correct amount of gPoints) may take place. The specific location is the town of Djinn.

gPoints: The currency used for evolution and the purchase of Legendary Pokemon. gPoints can also be used to change your Pokemon and change from a Trainer to a Pokemember. Note: If you change pokemon, you will start from Lvl 1.

You may spend your gPoints at Djinn, Mystic Region.

How to Acquire gPoints:
Each (Initial) Successful Win Against a gLeader gives you 10 gPoints. Every successive win against that same gLeader only garners 5 gPoints.
Every 10 wins against another Trainer awards you 10 gPoints.

Streaks also award gPoints:
10 - 10 gPoints
20 - 40 gPoints
30 - 60 gPoints
40 - 80 gPoints
50 - 100 gPoints
And so on...

Unless you are a G-Staff, you cannot be an evolved Pokemon. You must start out with the beginning form, and then work your way up to evolve into whichever Pokemon you wish to be.
Also, in order to get "shiny" status, you must buy it with gPoints, you don't automatically get a Shiny Pokemon, nor do you get a LEGENDARY, you start out with BASIC Pokemon, and work your way up, until you can BUY a Legendary.
Example;
Say I want to be Flareon, I can't automatically be Flareon, I start at Eevee, train Eevee, and level him/her up until I can level up to a Flareon. Thank you!

Each battle will start with one of the two/four Trainers going first. The Pokemon with the highest Speed determines who will attack first. If Speed stats are the same, go with the Sp.A stat.

Here we will show a faux battle and afterwards I will go into more detail about how to do what we did.

I am a Lvl 100 Arceus (Adamant) & Xeldin is a Lvl 100 Serperior (Timid).

So, there you have it. Both Trainers/Pokemembers will need to have the calculator ( http://pokemon.marriland.com/damage.php ), know the Power and PP of their moves, know their own as well as their opponent's ATT and DEF and have a randomizer for the damage that can be done between the two numbers that the Damage Calculator gives you at the top of the page.

Items such as Potions and Super Potions, etc can also be used when the PokeShop has been completed.

If this was a regular battle between Trainers, my Trainer would have received 1gP if Xeldin was the Pokemember of a regular trainer or 10gP if Xeldin was the Pokemember of a gLeader.

After a battle has been completed, Xeldin will be coming around to allocate the Exp won.
If you experience a Level Up, please notify me and I will give you your new Level's Stats.

The Level Up system has been decided to go identical to the actual Pokemon Games.

btw there's this really good Pokemon battle simulator called Shoddy Battle (http://shoddybattle.com/downloads). It's a little on the complex side though, and I don't think you can make a team on it without having 6 Pokemon.
