Ok, Welcome to the trust-no-1 guide to life, the universe and getDare itself, This guide will teach you the basics of living life and using getDare, There may also be some sections of really good advice. If you guys like these guides, and have an idea for another one, tell me and if I like it, ill write it up and credit you for the idea.

Guide the first: You've signed up to a strange site called getDare, now what?
Well, Welcome to getDare, I hope you will have fun. Before you start posting, you might want to know a few things to stop you getting in trouble with the mods.

Firstly, Which forums are for what?
The forums have a description to help you along here, but some people, dont read them, so I shall post it here anyways:

Truth: You post truths here, and answer truths, DONT MAKE REQUESTS

Dare: You post dares here, and post completed reports, DONT MAKE REQUESTS

Truth or Dare Stories: You can read stories here that relate to many different things, though Truth or Dare is a big topic for the stories

Slave/Master Area: This is where you can post your Slave ad (I might write a guide) and talk to others who are into S/m

Lounge: General discussion is here, plus a section for games and advice

TORD Online: This is the only forum where you can make truth or dare requests

getdare.com: This is where you can make suggestions that relate to the running of the site, think you have a good idea, post it here

Best of the getdare.com forums: This is where the best threads go

The trashcan: And this is where the bad threads go, Learn what not to do be reading these

Now that we have covered that, I will include a list of the mods and admins you can contact with problems, and some of them make great conversation(I have only included the active mods here):

Not bad a few things though, if I remember correctly MBP is offline doing his own things so he really isn't "active" I believe there are a few others active just kinda hiding. Also, isn't there a thread or two similar posted and stickies elsewhere on the site?

Hmmmm, Thanks lilysmaster, I included the mods I have seen online recently, But if I screwed up that list, ill be happy to edit it.
Yeah, I think theres some, Like LilAngles guide(which I linked), But this guide will eventually cover more than getDare

:) Nice. Seems like a shortened version of the forum description. Just that, you haven't described the sub-forums. Like, the Slave/Master Area has sub-forums Slave/Master Lounge and Punishments and Ideas. But then that's what the forum description (http://www.getdare.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=13098) does..

Sub-Forums Guide:

In this mini guide, I will extend on the previous forums guide, telling you about all the sections that you can post in:
Dares:
Dice Dares: This forum is only for posting dice dares, and reports of complete dice dares

Truth or Dare stories:
R18: Mature Stories: This section is only for 18+ stories, tread carefully in here
The Authors Cafe: You can post here for ideas and advice when writing a story
Completed Stories: In the section, you will find all the completed stories, just without all the comments in between chapters

Slave/Master Area:
Punishments and Ideas: The title explains all young one
Slave/Master Lounge: This is a place for all the S/m's to hang out and post about experiences etc.

Lounge:
Lounge Games: This is the place to find the many fun games here on getDare
Advice Section: This is the place to ask for advice

TORD Online:
Person Above Truth or Dare: This is a fun place to post with the person above dares

I really like this. I'm interested to see where it'll go. Regardless of other rules lists etc existing, there's no harm in a nice friendly thread explaining parts of the site in more detail.

Not sure if it belongs in Advice or not but we'll see where you go with it.

Second Guide: Your first post
Before you make your first post, you will want to know some things about yourself first, things that will improve the dares you get.

First thing is, you will need to know your likes and limits, some people do this different ways, some people will ask for dares and base their likes and limits on whether or not they like the dares, but other members come on here with likes and limits already in there head.
An easier way to do it, would be to answer these questions (Unless marked otherwise, yes is a lie, no is a limits):
Will you do public dares?
Will you do dares privately in public, IE: Change rooms, toilet cubicles etc.?
Will you do dares with friends?
With family?
Will you do dares involving pain?
How about mild pain?
Will you do dares with scat(poo)?
With urine?
Will you do cross-dressing dares?
Will you write on yourself?
Are you able to buy things?
Can you travel to other places for dares?

These will give you basic likes and limits, I would recommend adding them to your signature(See below)

When you decide on your first post, You will want to know where to post it, and that relates to why you are here, If you post in TORD online, then you are here for truth or dare mostly, if it is in Master/slave section, then you are here mostly for M/s.
I will write a guide later on good M/s ads, but for now, I will make one for TORD Online posts.
Title:
Your title will be a members first impression of you, so you will need to make it descriptive and concise, a good example is:

18/M looking for public dares w/ shopping

This will tell members what you are looking for, next is a good post involving the following:
Likes and Limits
What toys you have
Where you can go for the dare
and other information that will improve dare quality.

When somebody posts a dare, I highly recommend posting a good report on how the dare went, this will improve the impression members have of you.

A tip for females is, You will be swamped with PM's asking you for pics, asking you to be a master or slave and general things like that, I highly recommend putting in your post an sig that you don’t want any PM's unless it is only for friendly chatter.

Now, a few times in this guide, I have mentioned a signature, this is very important as it will tell members more about it, and you can do anything you want to it. To make a sig, you want to go to:
User CP which is at the top left of the page, under the getDare logo.
From there, click “edit signature” on the left hand column.
You will be taken to a page that looks just like you are making a post, you can type your sig into the box, and click save, it will now show up on every post you have made.

As for things to put in it, it is up to you, but I recommend your Age and Sex, Likes and Limits as a bare minimum. You can personalise it with jokes and quotes, and anything you want.

Thats the end of this guide, And remember, When on getDare, post sensibly and dont give out pics unless you trust the person, you never know where they could end up

My laptop broke AGAIN, really need to get a new one when i get some more cash now I have a job, anywho, back on point, Since im only on my phone, I cant post anymore until my laptop gets back, which will hopefully be end of next week
