I hate it when a person older than you will be listening in on you and then say "When I was a Kid...." I really hate that.

"Short through the turn"...

"To fish behind the net"..

"Comparing apples to pears".

The saying that probably pisses me off the most is "I could care less". It's supposed to go "I couldn't care less". If you could care less then you, by definition, care.

This! I see/hear it so often!

I also get annoyed when people say "Yo ma' nigga'!" just to sound cool. It's not cool and it's not clever.

When I ask a non-yes/no question and they say yes.

Eg:
-Do you like apples or oranges?
-Yes

Just say both! You are not even being lazy! It is still only one syllable!

Speaking of lazy, excessive non-time-saving text speech. Like replacing "to" with 2. Most phones require you press alt/tab/shift to access it, just write it out.

"The customer is always right!"

No. Wrong.

My store manager always said, "You know how managers will say the customer is always right? I'm here to tell you that they are more often than not wrong. So if they give you a problem, just call me."

Haha. I liked him. =P

The fascination of American youth with the phrase "Do work" it's retarded.
Youth 1: "Hey I gotta go write this paper, I'll be back in a bit"
Youth 2: "Do work"

Also this whole "om nom nom" thing when someone sees something that tastes good.
"I just had an amazing cheese cake om nom nom"

Pretty much any overt brutalization of the English language annoys me. Sure we all use various slang words and stuff like that but overt brutalizing in which you're deliberately warping words and dropping letters and stuff in efforts to sound "cool" and speed up your talk it's just childish and makes you sound uneducated.

I also get really pissed off at people that are overly politically correct, in whatever statement they're making. I know this doesn't really fit into specific statements that this thread is about but pretty much any kind of statement that is overly politically correct to the point that you know the speaker is consciously evaluating every single word to make sure it's proper, regardless of the statement specifically it pisses me off.

There's quite a list:

I know exactly how you're feeling (impossible!)
First Runner-Up (Just sounds stupid)
I WUV you (typed is fine but people saying that in real life is HORRIBLE)
Song lyrics used as profound knowledge in conversation (like "Every Rose has its thorns" or "It's all the same, only the name'll change")
And finally, not a phrase but I HAAAATTTEEE the word Supper. It just bugs me...

YOLO even saying it myself pisses me off

Ah I read through this whole thread not thinking anyone had put "YOLO" but you beat me to it!
So I second that. Although they're not sayings, anything that crawls its way out of Towie is always awful such as "Jel" or "reem".

Agreed!

Also:
"As of yet" -redundant, it's "as of now" or "yet"
"irregardless" - Not a real word!
"Have a blessed day" - just annoying to me
"Whatever!" - dissmisively only
"_____ is the new ______" - no, it's really not
"Pussy", "gay", "bitch" "cunt" or "dick" used as an insult

I hate when people say:

That's so gay!
or
That's Retarded!

in both situations, you are insulting people.
