I'd be really super happy if I ever got to become a concept artist for games.
It's what I aim for. I think I'm gonna be a very sad girl if I never become that.

Webmasters/designers usually don't get a big income.. There are far too many of them as it is :p You should feel lucky if someone chooses you to make their.

Well that's of course unless you get hired at the big places.



Sadly it's the same with concept artists. Far too many of us =( If I ever wanna make it big, I have to like..... Have super-powers or something.
Ah well. I'll achieve it somehow :D

i've just taken a starting job in network admin starting january, and am taking my CompTIA N+ exam tomoz (friday).

network admin is my dream job, I love working with computers, but have to be doing something practical aswell

My dream job for a long time was an actor, earning enough to live off.
I still think that'll be my job for a time, but i also want to try directing and possibly being the big man and producing.
I've become aware of how little artistic control actors usually have.

I've just applied to a dreamjob: I don't have to do anything but I get payed.

In fact I am hired for a month now and the single tasks I had to do were to scan and send some papers once in 3 days.

The bad part is I've heard everyone is eating each other's butt there. The good part is that everyone (except a single person) likes me. The good part is that person have some things in his head about computers that I always can make him look stupid.

Is it kind of a dreamjob? Except it is payed very low and I have to be bored 8 hrs/day.

Well.. Actors might be puppets... But they are puppets who have to be able to channel emotions and make them real for the audience too.
I say that Actors are artistic too. They have to add a little bit of themselves... You know.. That unique bit, that doesn't just say "He's a good actor", but a bit that says "He's a great and unique actor, who makes me moist when I see him act. I want that guy!!"

Exactly, i feel most people in the industry who bitch about actors, tend to be failed actors. Everyone else in other jobs is happy in their jobs.
It's also something that i think is misunderstood by the general person, or even a lot of artists in other fields. Performance by it's nature is a collaborative art, it is not from the mind of one person but form the mind of the group.
And so in my most subjective view how can any other art ever hope to represent a societies need as much as that of performance (in performance i include things such as film, and portrayal of art though the means of the physical presence of a human being)

I've always dreamt of being a Chef, me and my sister as well. Shes heading off to culinary school next year and we plan on opening a resturant as soon as possible. :]

imagine my actual new job: being payed for completing an XLS table every month between 7 and 9 of the month... And sometimes an yearly report.

The rest of the time is... removing books left over a keyboard while users say "My comp stucked!!!". Scanning something for someone once a week. And pretending I am fixing the computers there.

And being payed for it, even getting some raises this month.

I am lucky;) yes I am

(bad part: I have to loose 8 hours/day of my life there pretending I am working)

To work in a company with lot of females where they provide me foods and a company maintained car with at least US $5000 per month. I'm a IT guy and I love it. I already got my dream job. So what I have is, a dream company. I do not want to be a millionaire. Becoming a millionaire creates lots of problems. Have to go to so many fucking openings, awards ceremony and so on.. So I don't need a very high salary. What I need is a normal life and be a loving husband to my.... whoever I'm marrying. :D

For my dream job that's never going to happen, I want more then anything to own a sports team. I am a massive sports junkie, I don't even care what sport, I just want to own a professional team, NBA, MLB, NFL, don't care. But I know it won't happen because even the cheapest teams are hundreds of millions of dollars. Which I don't have.

As for a dream job that I might be able to accomplish? I know this sounds absurdly stupid, but I really want to make video game commentaries on youtube. There aren't too many people who do it full time, but there are certainly some. Been working hard at it, but there's a lot of people making videos and it's hard to stand out haha. Oh well, that's why it's a dream job and not my current job, I suppose.

Hmmm... I reckon there's two candidates; either to be a really sorta big shot film Choreographer; the Hanz Zimmer of the Choreography or something haha. These are the people who generally compose fight scenes and stuff you see in movies, they help with other general character positioning and that sort of thing too, but all the cool moves you ever saw, no matter which your favorite 'epic fight scene' is probably came out of a Choreograher's head. So I'd get to spend all day mock fighting with awesome props basically XD (although knowing how things are going these days it's more likely to be a green broomstick than a sword lol)

The other job I always kinda thought would be really cool, would be to sit on the BBFC - the British Board of Film Classification, there is only ever something like 64 of these guy's at once, I think they are paid something in excess of the £100,000 mark and these guys have to watch EVERY film before it hits cinema, play EVERY game before it is released and they even have to watch EVERY porn title XD (I can only imagine that takes up the bulk of the work, I'm guessing but I bet there are more porn flicks on average than there are normal films or games)
