I've seen quite a few individuals posting off-topic nonsense in serious threads. If someone is trolling your thread please don't respond to them, report them. The moderation staff takes reported posts seriously and will remove users who are spamming the site with nonsense.

When you file a report just click the report icon and type a sentence explaining the situation. The report is then sent to a moderation bin where it will be quickly dealt with.
