Pancakes vs. Waffles

So i was thinking to myself yesterday night, which do i like better and why, I personally like Pancakes better because there fluffly light, easy to spread butter on and you can make them from scratch easier.

What about you which one do you like better. Panckaes or Waffels, and WHY?

I love waffles. I like how they have a slight crunch when they are really fresh and hot. I like how you can fill the little pockets with butter and syrup...mmmmmmmmmmhmmmmm. Getting fatter just dreaming about them. Guess what I am having for breakfast. :p

Waffles - potatoe, heated in oven are also ok,

Waffels are my choice out of the two.
However, I prefer French Toast to either Waffels or Pancakes. Its all about the taste. Waffels taste better then Pancakes, but French Toast taste the best.

I do like to eat both pancakes and waffles (and, since someone mentioned this in their response, I also like French toast. I will happily consume my fair share of any of these.)

However, if I am doing the cooking, I prefer pancakes. They are quicker and easier to fix. Mix the batter. Pour into skillet. Turn them over to cook the other side. There you are. French toast is delicious (I love to make it with challah, will sometimes buy a loaf of challah just so it is there to use for French toast.) However, to make it, you need to have an interesting bread available and you have to slice it up, etc. It is generally quicker and easier to make pancakes. Waffles take the longest because first you have to find the waffle iron because it is used so rarely that it ends up stuffed away behind other things. So pancakes are the quickest and easiest. (However, I love it when my husband tracks down the waffle iron and makes waffles. I will gladly help eat them.)

The key thing -- pancakes or French toast or waffles -- you must only use genuine maple syrup, never any of that dreadful high fructose fake crap you find in supermarkets.

I like waffles better. I'm not sure exactly why. I think it's just their texture and shape. Although, I tend to make pancakes because they take less time and I'm lazy.

If we are talking plain batter, then I prefer pancakes as they are more versatile and I just find them easier to deal with. Potato waffles with maple syrup would have to trump pancakes for me though...and now I want both.

pancakes are more adaptable, but I also enjoy the crunch of a fresh waffle. That is a hard question. I don't know what I should put.

Depends... I grew up with thin pancakes. I love those. These thick pancakes that you get at restaurants are no bueno. I also like waffles.
