It's basicly the decision of the mods, as far as I know.
In order to join click on "User CP" at the top menu and then on the left menu click on "Group membership" (it's in the very bottom.)
You can ask to join there.

As far as I know, it's chaingangistheclick, one of the admins, that chooses - but who really knows what's going around there?

i applied and it was changingtheclick who accepted me if i remember correctly. Not sure how many people have gone for it yet though.

Right now, I can't invite only accept. So everyone who considers themselves worthy should apply. Also, if you were accepted, it will appear, and you are allowed to post. Post Away!!!!!!!

What I meant was what is the Elite Member Area? What will be discussed there, what is the purpose of it's existence?

Just a question how Elite must you be to get there? Like are there requirements or anything or is it just whoever you think is cool enough?

They already have. You must apply for it. When you go for your private messages at the left you'll see several options. One of them is "Groups". You click on it & then you can apply. Hope that explains... :)

I'm not "in the know" so perhaps a mod could clarify this: If someone request for membership in the Elite area & they're not accepted do they receive some notification of it & does it says why their request has not been granted?

I'm not sure if you get a notificiation, but as guidelines, if you have above 75 posts, I'll consider you, but DON'T ask to be invited if you don't have 75 posts. I got a request from someone with a grand total of ZERO posts. Don't be idiots. This is for the best of the best posters. Anyway there are a few ways to get into the club: a) Be a great poster b) Give me money c) Much like the mod-cougar fights, we have bears with guns fight for you, so make sure your bear has a good machine gun.
