I took ballet lessons for many years. Then one day I decided I was too fat to be a dancer and I haven't worn one or danced since.

:D Yep. When I was little and I took dance. And there was sparkly ribbon stuff attached to it that annoyed teh fuck out of me.

I got hold of a leotard when I was in my teens and wore it a few times. I'm male, but not particuarly interested in crossdressing but I wanted to try it. I did like the feel of the lycra though!

What are you supposed to wear under the leo though. Is it like a swimsuit and you have nothing else on, or do you wear underwear?

It's supposed to be like a swimsuit, yeah. Though I know some friendsies who aren't like professional dancers, so they have breasts, and they have to wear something for support.

Yes, I was accualy dared to on this site. I then had to put on high heels and dance to single ladies. It was pretty embarrising.

Thanks sweetsong. Is the same true for gymnastics? I once saw a film (Stick It) but they wore underwear.

13/m. I do gymnastics and have to wear leotards (you get mens ones by the way, the only difference is the position of the company logo and male gymnasts wear shorts or stirrups over the bottem section) I also have done dance before and every one had to wear leotards boys and girls wore the same kind but boys wore Lycra shorts as well.

I havn't, though I would like too - specially to have a reason to wear them... but my school has no male gym team :( (I know; its sexist; isnt it - My gym teacher actually mentioned jokingly (Right after I jumped off a 1.2 floor high ledge into a front roll) that I should be int he gymnastics team (to which she said something like yeah, unenthusiasitcally))

Yeah, well.. I've worn both a Leotard and a one piece swimsuit. Not the best but did feel fun :P

I wear them to work out in. I have a couple but my fav is a white thong leotard.

Yep, I used to do minor competitive gymnastics (only guy in our training group so got to share a changing room with the girlies!) and although normally wore guys ones, I occasionally forgot it so had to wear a girls one. The girls choose and they usually picked the pink ones which they found hilareous especially as we had to cross a public park in only them and tracksuit trousers! At the time I found it really embarressing but we all have fond memories of it!

I would actually like to get (a girls) one so any suggestions?

yeah, I used to do gymnastics, and then had to wear one - always felt awkward at the start because we weren't allowed to wear bras... bouncing around without one, you get the gist :P
