I suppose because they are a good form of dare. They can be extremely embarrassing or uncomfortable for the person being dared and can push people to the limits.

I would't complain. GetDare is quite inactive most of the time so a bustle of activity like this is good.

Just create loads of threads about other sorts of dares and it should attract these new users to them.
