Getdare has been down most of today... And it seems like the whole forum has traveled back in time a day or so.

Yea.. What I think is more odd, is that none of the staff-members have warned against this, or posted an explanation afterwards... So I'm quite unsure what the reason for this... "blackout" might be.

I have a theory. It was something to do with the clocks go back. Maybe the server that getdare runs on went back and then went tits up when it saw that there were posts in the future.

I suppose we have to await Depp to tell us the truth.

i would say that this is a backup of the forum... theory: there was a problem with the server and the side got deleted/destroyed and they had to use an older backup. thats the reason why we "lost" about 12 h ...

Same, and although I'm an admin, Depp's the real man in charge. I still act as a mod unless everything goes to Hell.

im guessing depp just forgot to pay for the next year of hosting and when he realised he put it right. But maybe he will tell us when he posts :)

C'mon Brownie if your gonna make comment about the power of my country at least spell "PICTURE" correctly so the rest of the world does not have to fear our countries stupid people are the ones in power.

I also agree the Japan remark was uncalled for and not the way I want my country represented. After all we kicked our own ass in Vietnam in the political arena and then had to bring them all here when our government bailed on them under public pressure, I hope we don't repeat our mistake in Iraq or they will all need too come here to whether they like it or not.

My theory on the shut down was that the I-cops stole the servers and turned them over to some new reality show soon to be released.

Conspiracy Number 4: Depp was at work on an X-File with Mulder and Scully and so when he realised he hadn't paid the next hosting fees, he couldn't act untill much later

Conspiracy Number 5: Someone dared Depp to take the forum back 12 hours :p

Conspiracy Number 6: The server can alter the space-time continuum.

Conspiracy Number 7: Microsoft reset server to an earlier time, without anyones intervention as Microsoft like to do what it says.

Wow, I have been gone a long time. The reason for the site going down and then reappearing a day old is top secret. :)

It had to do with server hardware going bad and having to restore from a backup. No worries, everything is all better.
