I have written other things for off-line consumption and posting at other places online. I have now been considering doing some writing for here. I have never ventured into more adult type writing. Certainly some readers (such as myself generally) enjoy reading them just to read them, however, many others are likely reading them as porn to read to get turned on in order to masturbate.

I am not entirely sure how that jives with me. What do other authors that post here think about that? Do you keep that in mind as a goal when writing? Is it something you even think about?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Personally myself i don't really think about whether someone is gonna be turned by it, i make the presumption that since it's an adult story it will be a given anyway. Since you write already i'm sure you know that you should write for yourself first and the reader second. It sound selfish but if you write for the reader, generally they are gonna be disappointed. Not sure if thats any help but good luck with your new writing venture.

I'll second pretty much everything rgjmce had to say. I too write what I believe are good stories, though I know that not everybody will take a fancy to each and every one. The stories that I post here do have a sexual undercurrent and might turn some on, but might just be a source of truth or dare ideas for others.

There are some who believe that you should write for the reader and might go as far as saying that you should post a small snipit of your story in order to get comments and 'direction' back from those that read it. There's nothing wrong with that, but it just isn't my style. I am a firm believer in writing the story completely before posting any of it as it ensures that the readers will not be left hanging, and it helps to provide consistency from start to end. I truely am saddened by all of the good stories that go unfinished on this site.

Enjoy the writing!
