What a dom should do before setting a task/ punishment.

This are questions that a dom should think about before setting a task.

-What task do you want to give your slave?
-How do you want your slave to accomplish this task?
-what will the consequences be for your slave in his daily life?
-what will the consequences be for your slave in the relation?
-what will it the benefits be (for slave) if the slave does the task?
-what will it the benefits be (for master) if the slave does the task?
-will the task really provide the required change in behavior of the slave?
-won't the task offend the limits of the sub?
-Is the slave interested in doing such task?
-Is the dom interested in giving/ watching such task?

of course not all things have to be completly postive.
For a punishment you have to have somethings negative to make it a real punishment.

But it is good to ask this things before giving a task.

You will be a better dom this way


note: Dom means the same as Master.
Sub means the same as Slave. (at least in this post)

Despite the original poster being banned, this list might be useful for a new dominant.

However, you really shouldn't need a checklist to prepare a good and effective punishment or task. What is most important is knowing your subs interests, their limits, and having a specified goal: Are you looking to punish or reward them? Stuff like this :-)

Not saying that the above doesn't cover this, but be wary of over-relying on the notion of sticking to a set formula.

Spontenuity can be a great aid to play! A quick task can be a great icebreaker
