I'd still be worried about the safety of this. Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable risking my junk near sharp, pointy metal bits, and the tube being duct taped on would mean there would be no quick way to get it off safely if something went wrong.

As a less... spiky variation, you could try something similar, but without anystaples. Have something at the end of the tube so that the penis can't extend, and make sure it's all nice and secure with tape. It would be very uncomfortable trying to get an erection in such a small space, but there's no risk of spiky bits going where they shouldn't.

Alternatively, just tape up the base of the penis with electrical tape. Be careful not to cut off circulation, but make it tight enough so that it serves a function similar to a cock ring. Basically, if they get an erection, it should stick around for a while which can be quite a problem in public. Also, if the erection is big enough long enough, that alone should start to become painful, and gives a Mistress a bigger member to play with.

Let me share my experience. this punishment is not a new idea, though still a worthy one. I cut up some plastic into spikes, cut holes in a tube and placed the spikey plastic in the holes and taped it all up. With a similar effect to your device. It does indeed hurt when you get hard, however, it also left me with deep scratches on my cockhead whichwere painful for some time and also left white marks where the flesh had been damaged and a nasty itchy burning sensation. Given the number of bacteria under the foreskin its too easy to get an infection. nothing serious came of this experiment but nontheless i urge you to seriously think about adapting the original idea.

Pushpins work really well (the little brass ones). Can be sterilized with alcohol. There's designs for something called a Kali's bracelet out there, similar idea. I made one with rolled up rubber sheet & staples from a staple gun. Hurt like hell everytime I got hard.
