Three confirmed dead, many injured... yeah, it's all that's on the news channels around here.

Not sure why it happened, but being a Minnesotan, I worry about our bridges.

something like this happened in Laval, Quebec last year, killing 1 I believe, its kinda scary that these bridges can collapse so easily... I think they need to inspect these bridges more often.

Truly a tragedy...

CNN is wrong, only one actually confirmed dead, but being bumper to bumper rush hour with over 50 cars on bridge, I bet the death rate will be huge, but as of now only one dead body has been found with over 40 in critical or serious condition. Being from MN our news is right, not CNN...

Most recent report is 1 dead, 6 in critical, and 22 seriously injured...

Kare 11 says 3 dead, channel 5 says 3 dead.

I don't know for sure, but it will rise if 1 or 3, and it's sad.

Well that's horrible.

They've shot down terrorism about ten times so far, so it might have been.

I doubt it, but you never know really. There's been some strange things happening lately.

yeh lets not worry about all the natural disasters killing thousands accross the globe, a few americans dying from a bridge that they made poorly is far more severe..............

omg! *sob* those beautiful cars! that 07 ford explorer! that would suck get a new car and have it be crushed by a bridge. What ever happend to the cars that went in the water? does anyone know?

I'm sure they concentrated on the people first.

A number of lucky escapes are about which is good. School Bus was right on the edge of the bridge, luckily was on the ground when it happened. Cars fell when on the bridge but stayed upright so people could get out and were only shaken.

They were inspecting the bridge and were doing work on it at the time. It will be interesting to find out if it is simply an over sight of regulations.

I don't think it was terrorism, these days anything can happen and the first thing people think of is terrorism.

HEY it's the PEOPLE who mater they can alway make more CARs but the PEOPLE who were killed it's a HORRIBLE way to die if all you care about is the cars then i hope that you will have to wate for death in a care that has been crushed. it's the PEOPLE who matter NOT the care. how would YOU like it if your family had been crushed or drowned or burned or suffecated to death. hmmmm! how would YOU like it??????????

ok i was trying to liten the mood in this thread but seeing as i didn't i erased it. Sorry for anyone who got affened. When i said what happened to the cars in the water i ment the people inside them...

8 confirmed dead. In 2005 the bridge was demed deficent but safe. Btw, if it IS terriosts and we don't know about it now, then we ever won't know. The goverment could be trying to hid the fact of wat is was. Be i highly doubt that.

It wouldn't be terrorists. If it was, the bridge would have exploded, not slide into the water. Terrorists want to get there message across with the most noise and destruction possible and then take immediate credit for their work.
